Black Widow Layout for Wife
« on: April 24, 2007, 10:48:54 AM »
Looking for suggestions on a layout for my wife.  Dont know her specs, but she has low revs and low speed and uses 13lb equipment.  This will be her heavy oil ball.  I was thinking something like a 4" - 4 1/2" pin with a 45 - 60 degree MB.  Any suggestions?

Since she has slow ball speed I would suggest placing the pin around 4.5" from her pap.  A 60 degree MB location sounds like it would be a good choice.  You could always adjust the cover if more bite is needed.

I would highly recomend going with a 14#.  If you go with 13, she won't be getting the Gas Mask Core.

I didnt know that, thought the 13's had the same core with Hammer.  Do you know what core is in it?  She is going to try a 14lb next week, found a used one a plugged it up, so we'll see how it goes.  What companies are using the same cores in 13 as the heavier stuff.  I know brunswick used to, and ebonite had some in the past.

Hammer uses the Diesel shaped core in their 13# equipment with an rg of 2.53 and differential of .055.
