Cracked Widow
« on: February 19, 2007, 02:13:19 AM »
My second widow has a 2 inch crack in it parallel to the thumb hole.  It only has about 10 games on it if that. My question is has anyone else had this problem and if so how is the customer service on something like this through hammer.  Any input would be appreciated.

I have yet to see any cracking Black widows....There may be some, but I haven't seen any.

I would return the ball to the proshop that you purchased it from, and have them contact thier area District Sales Manager for Ebonite.   Ebonite has always been good about honoring thier warranties.

Now.....if you purchased it from the internet....well.......You can try to go to the proshop that drilled it....or back to the internet site....but I am guessing both are going to tell you that the other is responsible.    Then you could try Hammer....and see if they would be willing to replace it for you.

Good Luck.

I noticed a 1/2" crack in my Black Widow running through the pin about 2 weeks after I first got it and started to use it in leagues. Since that time I have put another 60 games on it and the crack has not expanded. It doesn't seem to have hurt it's performance as I shot 770 (258 253 259) last week.
