Has anyone had problems with ther BWS losing its reaction? I have a buddy who has tried everything short of a rejuvinator stint. Any ideas or feedbacks welcome.

My wife's just needed a good resurface and it came right back...
I used 360 Abralon then clean and dull then I worked my way back up to 4000 and back to the surface that she used. It brought the reaction right back... And she is not at all good about cleaning after use - unless I do it.

Just wondering here...how many games did he have on it before it starting losing its power?

I've thrown mine a ton, felt like I was losing a little on it, so I sanded it down with a scot brite, put it in the bath tub, then took it back to the shop and had it taken back to 4000 and it worked like it did the first night I had it. In fact first game after the resurface was 289 with the back 10.
I even bought mine NIB off of eBay and it's been the best ball I have ever thrown.

A simple oil extraction will do the trick. Any method is good, but the hot water bath is the easiest.

I have not had any troubles with mine, and the title of this topic sounded like a new widow nae before I opened it! lol

A friend of mine's BWS also lost much of its pop, after frequent use. When new, the ball had been a back end monster, drilled for length and snap.
I refreshed the ball for him, with a bucket bath and a surface refreshment back to OOB 4.000 Abralon, and with the first shots the ball reacted again as new - very violent, great back end. But I had the impression that the ball would lose ist new bite very quickly, as if it would need constant re-sanding after every 2 or 3 games. Not sure what it is, but this strange behavior makes me stay away from Ebonite/Hammer balls...

I have had my BWS for over a year and I have some games on it. The only thing I have done so far is clean after each set and occasionally I put the ball in the hot water bath and then clean it with Windex. The ball hasn't lost it's reaction at all. My ball is drilled to go long with a controlled arcing motion. I actually used it last night in my PBA Experience league with decent results on the Viper pattern.

He had around 30 games on it when it started to die, so he started making different surface adjustments every couple of weeks and it just lost everything. He cleans all of his equipment after each set. The only thing that hasn't been done to it is a bath which is the next step.
