Title: Deadly Aim vs Cold Blood
Post by: EL3MCNEIL on May 31, 2014, 11:35:03 PM
Which of these two is the better option from Hammer for Heavy oil? Looking to purchase one and am having a difficult time deciding so hoping some members with experience with these two balls can assist.

I personally have not seen the Cold Blood in person, but I have seen the Deadly Aim and if anybody thinks it's not a ball that can handle heavier oil you're nuts! This ball is a beast. My buddy has one and I've never seen a ball that just flat out hooks like it does. He does not possess big hook capability but the Deadly Aim just screams across the lane for him.

I was told that the Cold Blood is a Pearl that handles heavy oil in a more controllable arcing motion while the Deadly Aim is just a big hooking ball. Any validity to that?

Ive had a Cold Blood for the past month and its definitely a smoother motion that can handle some oil even though it's a pearl. Mine is drilled approximately 50 x 3 x 30, ive used it at box finish and used 1000 abralon by hand over box finish. Ive had good looks on this years team pattern, route 66, and highway to hell

Do you think the Cold Blood would compliment the Black Widow Assassin or overlap it?

it would depend on the layouts and surfaces, they can be similar or different depending on those things
