I'm Kind of a Big Deal
« on: March 26, 2006, 07:39:23 PM »
I like to say that, considering that Anchorman is my favorite movie ever, lol.

The real reason I posted this is to ask some q's about the Hammer Big Deal.  I think it looks good, but does it just have a monstrous hook?  Do the lanes need to be as slick as ice?  Or can i throw this baby on a medium to wet shot?

I threw a Rampage the other night, on a shot after league, and it was amazing. Went pretty long, and snapped at what looked like the last 20 feet.  The Rampage was a
"6 X 5" drill, which i assume is a pretty strong drilling patern... so what i want to know is will the big deal react too strong on a used but still oily league shot? Moreso than a Rampage?

I plan on getting a Rampage soon... But a Big Deal looks pretty sweet too....

Hope this makes sense.  Any answers would be great.
Thanks y'all!

I'll answer your question, but only because of the Anchorman quote.  The Big Deal is a low load particle, with a very strong asymetrical core.  The ones I've seen have a strong arcing reaction, that is rather early.  Unless you are using this ball for only heavy stuff take it up a bit perhaps 4000 grit abralon.  For many, oob, the ball tends to roll out a bit just match the cover to your needs and run with it.  Even with polish it will be very different than the rampage, to have a good arsenal sub in a ball inbetween, perhaps the Nemesis or the impulse/vapor if your looking brunswick.  If hammer the Razor blade with a bit o' polish.
