Difference between Total NV and BWP
« on: July 02, 2007, 12:42:16 PM »
What do you think the differences would be between the Total NV and Black Widow Pearl? (Assuming same layout and oob finish).  Overall Hook, Length, etc.?

Medium Rev/Speed/Stoker type bowler...Hope that helps with replies to my questions.  Thanks.

TNV would roll sooner than the BWP and be smoother off the point. Probably cover the same amount of lane but the BWP would do it much later.

Even more true on a THS...

I received both balls today..I bowled on a THS, dryer than usual today with dryer backends. Keeping it simple. TNV hooks more overall. but the BWP has killer backend (of course we know this already) making it look like the BWP hooks more.
The lanes today. TNV was smoother easier to control while the BWP hook wild when touched the backend.

Hey! I made it all the way to the gutter. Shouldn't I get like 20 points or something?

If you have a BWP drilled pin under and a TNV drilled pin up, would it be the same ball? I have both drilled that way and throwing both it's hard to determine any big difference. Both with OOB finish on them. I may get a touch more length out of the TNV, but they are really close.

You will see the difference when there's more oil present.  If after you bowl on more oil and still don't see a difference then take the cover down on the TNV.  I guarantee you will see a difference then.
