BITE OR VENOM...DIFFERENCES?
« on: September 22, 2008, 03:32:40 AM »
I want to pick one of these two to complement mi storm dimension and to be above my storm agent.
which are the diffrences between these two?
I want a strong pearl that could handle heavy oil when my agent doesnt and when the the dimension is too early
thanks a lot

if i remember correctly the venom is a polished solid so your search for a pearl would end there if i am correct but the venom is a great ball that gets down the lane a little further then most and then turns like no other at breakpoint

I don't have the Venon, but with the Dimension and the Bite drilled very similar, I have the bit under the Dimension with enough of a difference to make it worth while carrying both bowling balls.

You'd be very lucky to find a pearl that can handle heavy oil.  Unless you have super clean backends, a pearl is probably not the best choice.

The Venom is a little longer and a little stronger than the Bite. May even be more angular.

Agree that the back end is a little stonger, but I would say the Venom is a LOT longer.

Crowned prince what i want is a ball that could be above my agent and BELOW my dimnesion (thats my oiler),i am needing a ball to use when heavy oil condition (44 feet) opens up a little after 2-3 games.
I thought the bite was a pearl i had one in my hands and it looked like that.
If you have any other suugestion i ll be glad to listen

The only ones I know of are the Nsane and NTense LevRg balls, but they're sanded to 4000 grit Abralon and 1000 grit Abralon respectively.

Remember it doesn't have to be a "pearl" precisely. It just has to act the way you want it to. I'd suggest the Venom because at 4000 grit Abralon plus a high gloss polish, it definitely go LONG and breaks very hard at the backend. It's getting to be the definition of what you want, near as I can tell.

The Bite is a go-long solid intially intended to handle more oil than the original BW solid, AFAIHL.
