What is Hammer going to discontinue this summer?  What is in store for either the summer or next season?  Just wondering.

That seems like a silly reason to be done with a brand.  They make their decisions based on economic viability of the product.

Loved my NM until it cracked, tried the resurgence and it was ok but sold it and tried the rising, didn't care for it,ball hit like a fart in the wind.I was planning on a new NM IF they came out with a pearl version for a 1-2 combo.
I used to throw all Storm back in the day until I felt their stuff didn't match up for me anymore.I haven't bought another Storm for 10 years now, tried out a few and still wasn't impressed.I've been using old Track and been very happy but all the new stuff seems really so so to me.with the news of no more NM's or a pearl I will likely be done with Ebonite.the break and break pearl have caught my eye along with the people that have been signing on with them.
out of all the Hammers I've owned/tried the Blades and No Mercy were the best IMO.

IMO, the NMs being discontinued makes alot of sense.  I believe they are too close in roll/reaction to the Widows that I cant see why you would need both.  I am in no way saying they are identical as they are not.  But, the Widows are much more popular and still avilable.  So, why the need for both?  I dont think Hammer has a "true" heavy oiler.  Maybe the Bite.  Something to compete with balls like the Resurgence could be an idea.

I understand what your saying but the original NM is a heavy oil ball.  In fact, i've never seen a ball cut thru carrydown like the original NM.

There's only two balls in the line.  It doesn't make much sense to discontinue both balls in that line only to bring out a pearl version.  Unless they don't plan on bringing out a pearl.  I just can't see them doing away with the NM line.  I see a lot of NM's and BEATN on the lanes so I doubt it's because of sales being low.

The BW's are very popular and i've had both the Bite and Solid. I would take a NM over any BW ball!  Even though there similar in there reaction shape there still different from each other.

IMO, the Anger is a "true" heavy oil ball. I've had nothing but great luck with it on heavy oil. Way better than any of the No Mercy's.

I just looked on buddies web site and see the NM line is being discontinued.  That just sucks!

At least I have a brand new NM sitting at the pro shop waiting to be picked up!

that makes sense, lets keep the core that's been around forever and ditch all the fresh stuff.goes to show you what they think.maybe they should start diging up all the Faball stuff.

why do away with a core that proves itself in ball after ball? The Black Widow series is super-popular...enough said. Possibly discontinuing the NM line (if "the line" is in fact over) will generate more sales in the BW line? I'm sure Ebonite/Hammer isn't going to make a rash decision about something like that.

Besides, I don't think any of us will be disapointed with what they have in store for the coming season.

because it's the same ball over and over and over and over again.if I wanted to have all gas mask core balls that's great.fact is I never thought that core worked well for me and now the other performance line is gone, the one I did like.

The Vibes use somthing that is similar (but not a copy) of a core that had been used in some Vicious line balls, e. g. the Vicios Attack. The Vicious cores were more asymmetrical (top/bottom half), but only with a low mass bias.

I liked the widow series but never had a great series with any ball in it. The solid never really shined for me. I have have more luck with the pearl but nothing worth bragging about. I've been bowling for a few years and the no mercy was a god send for me. After that as far as hammers I'd take the vibes over the widows. Tried storm, morich and brunswick and never found a ball with any of those companies to switch brands. I'd hate to see ebo do away with the nm series.
