black widow surfaces

Has anyone had any success with the BW polished.  I have really tried to keep the coverstock where it needs to be but it is too much work and I am slowly losing reaction from the ball. I am thinking about running the full set of abralons on it up to 2000 and then polish.  I only ask becaue i dont have a lot of time to go to the pro shop and work on stuff so I would appreciate any feedback.

Anyone that I've seen try to polish the ball has not liked the results...it gets very sensitive to oil down lane and it lost some of it characteristic turn.  

Honestly the BW is the first ball I've seen that reacts like a shinny ball, but with a dull finish.

Neal I have a BW with the oob coverstock 4000grit. Iused it on 40ft of oil with carry down and she rolled early making the ball very unpredictable going down the lanes. Took the ball home put it on my spinner used Finesse 11 on the coverstock made a world of difference. BW goes down the lane with extra length then turns very hard to the pocket. If the oil is carry downed don't swing the ball go up the boards your BW will get down the lanes and should crush the pins thats what my window does. There are many different opionions about using polish for me it worked better than 2000 grit and 4000 grit without polish Give it a try I feel you will like the reaction.

I had mine polished by accident by a shop that did a lane damage resurface.  I hated it personally.  I've only seen 2 guys around here that keep theirs polished.  It just seems to kill the reaction and give it over/under hell.

I loved mine polished. I got a more straighter result, it being tamer on the backend. I was consistently hitting 220-260's with the ball. I still have it, but have a problem with switching equipment. But I am still around the 220-260 range.
