Doom Surfaces

well threw my new Doom for the first time today. I really like the knock down power but in the beginning the ball was having trouble snapping back to the pocket. however in games 2-4 it was awesome, really snappy continuous backend! For that first game, are there any surface adjustments you would recommend? I have it drilled pin above ring.

you have to give more detail on what's going on the first game.  What kind of pattern are you bowling on?  What line are you playing on the lanes?  Are you playing a different line in games 2 thru 4?

playing on lighter medium house. first game the ball was having a hard time coming to the pocket. i eventually slowed my ball speed and gave it a little more hand it was beautiful. just wondering if i should change the cover at all or just adapt to throwing it differently.

There's a few things you can do.

1. Change the line your playing.  If the balls not going to the pocket you may need to play closer to the pocket.  You may need to play closer to the dry boards outside if this is a typical walled up house pattern.

2. Use a different ball with more surface.  

If you adjust the cover on the DOOM just for the first game it may not give you that great look you had in games 2 thru 4 as the shot breaks down.

If you feel a surface adjustment is the way to go then just knock the polish off the ball.  You can always get it back to box condition if that doesn't work for you.
