Im stuck. I have this NIB Pain sitting in front of me and I cant decide if I want to drill it up. Reason being is because I'm torn between that, a Widow, or Machine. I'd like something that clears the heads really easy and snaps HARD on the backend. Mostly for Med-Heavy to Medium Oil. I have an Action Max and and Equation which covers Heavy and Light..need something to go in between.

I like to play up the 5-10 board or swing from 15-10 and back in. Please help..

i would have to suggest the pain or the widow for sure... if you put a lengthy layout on either one they will be snappier in the back... the widow of course more than the pain... the pain will start up earlier and get into a roll for than a snappy reaction from the widow

mostly if the widow happens to hit a bit of carry down... just gotta get around it more and your set

Um, I would not suggest anything other than the newer Hammer releases...BW, Pain, or Zilla.
The Pain, in my opinion is one of the most versatile bowling balls on the market today. Based on my experience with my 2 Pains (elbow pain and pain in the butt...j/k), The bowling ball will pick up a roll at a similar spot on the lane whether you have polished the ball or have it dulled a bit...what you get when it's polished is the bowling ball continuing very strong throughout the duration of the lane, the dull ball will read at a similar place as the polished, but will hook, then stop.
This is VITAL if carry is a problem and angle is the reason you are leaving a 7 (or a DIME if you are on the wrong side of the lane). I also find this ball to be a VERY strong ball in med-heavy oil. The Pain will give you what you want, plus it looks freakin sweet rolling toward the pins....any other questions, please ask.

I've gotta agree with Chris. I just drilled up a Pain Friday night to use in the ABT tourney. The ball rolls great! It gives a nice read of the midlane, and takes a hard arc to the deck. Mine doesn't "snap," but honestly I don't think snap is what you want if you really want a ball for heavier oil. The Pain has a nice combo of power and control. Besides, you already have it, drill it!

The Pain is a great ball. Out of the 3 you are looking at I would choose the Pain. In it's box surface it will handle hevay oil without any problems. If you need more lenght just polish it up. If drilled with the correct layout it will have a big snap on the back end.
