can i have some peoples opinions on this ball i wanted it for lighter stuff seems to be a tad to much has anybody changed surface preps on it to make it work differently

Generally speaking 4000 and polish will go long and store energy for the backend. One possibility might be 4000 no polished because it will slowly expel its energy and still have good backend versus storing it all for the last ten feet. Just a thought.

I have one... good medium, medium light ball OOB...

For true light oil you'd better have speed on your side and be able to back off on the revs.  Either that or toss a coat of polish on it with a slip agent in it, like Powerhouse Extender Polish.

The Razyr might be a better choice, but that would depend on you the bowler...

Depending on your speed and revs. If you are looking for drier lanes, you may want to look into the Razyr. I have both of these balls and the Emerald is about 8 boards stronger for me. If you have lots of speed you could get away with the Emerald
