let me tell you there isn't a perfect layout for any bowling ball that works for everyone. every bowler must have a taylor made layout for every ball. thats why you should always ask your ball driller what kind of layout he or she would use for you. there are so many things that make the ball react properly. some difference to each player is their pap, rev rate, ball speed, axis rotation, axis tilt, and also the players comfort zone to throw from. once you take all those things into account you can make a descent call on the layout of the ball. this is only for the regular house shots, i am not even talking about the sport shots and things like that. it all depends on the player. for me i am a cranker bowler rev rate of 480-510 ball speed of 20.58mph axis tilt of 45 degrees and axis rotation of 45 degrees and pap at 4.5 in .5 in up. the way i would set it up strong for myself would be to have a weaker mass bias and a longer pin to pap. probably 50x5x30. if you don't have a proshop professional that will check or measure you for those things. you need to be going to someone new that will.
