Anger vs. Bite

I wasn't able to find a thread discussing these 2 balls against each other. I'm looking for a solid reactive in the 2.50 rg range to use as my benchmark ball with a modified RICO drilling. I was wondering if anyone has been able to throw both of these balls yet and compare them constructively.

On the research that I've read on this site.  They are fairly similar balls.  The Anger will last alot longer.  The bite will die off after 100 games or so.  I am going to get the Anger soon.

Two completely different balls. Anger early rolling arcing hook monster. Bite more length with big backend hook monster. Depends on what kind of look you want. Both can handle oil they just do it differently.

I have owned 2 ANGER's and currently own a BITE.  These balls are completely different from each other.

The ANGER has a very strong mid-lane and strong backend.  In box condition the Anger handles heavy oil really well.  This ball is generally smooth at the break point but if the backends are dry enough it will give you that sudden change of direction.  This ball needs oil to be really effective.  Very good ball on tougher patterns.

The BITE has a good mid-lane read but is super strong on the backend.  This ball will flip on dry backends.  However, it still has that banana arcish reaction the Black Widows are known for.  This ball has the strongest backend i've ever seen from a solid reactive ball!   The BITE handles heavy oil with ease but could be hard to control on certain patterns because of how strong the break point is.  If the conditions are right this ball will recover from anywhere on the lane.

The ANGER and BITE are very different from each other so it's too hard to say which one is a better ball.  Too many factors invloved in saying which is better.

Don't listen to someone when they say the ANGER'S cover will out last the BITE'S.  That's a load of BS!  If the bowlers will use the hot water bath process, both of these balls will last for hundreds of games!

Overall, I think both will handle the same amount of oil with the same cover prep.  My first Bite is earlier and makes a more aggressive move than my Anger.  The Anger is just smooth, controllable and one of my favorites on heavier sport conditions.

With the same surface and layout they might be pretty similar. For me, the Anger can handle more oil, and is more arcing. The Bite has more backend pop to it.

It's all up to the drilling and your surface too though. Both are great balls.

Then why is everyone complaining about the Widow Series Balls only lasting around 50-100 games(w/hot water bath).  I didn't say that this was a definate answer....jackass....Like I said...thats what I've read on here, so relax.  
I also have a few people that I bowl with using the widow series balls and they are saying that they wear out quickly.  They are taking proper care of their balls and do the hot water bath.  I also said similar....not the same, but similar.  They are both heavy oil balls and have "similar" reactions.

I have not read or heard that the BW series only lasts 50/100 games with using the HOT WATER BATHS.

I currently own a BITE and have owned 2 BWS and 3 ANGERS.  I will agree that certain bowling balls soak up oil at a quicker rate than others.  However, if the HOT WATER BATH process is used, the balls should regain most of their performance.

I didn't notice a quicker reduction in performance between my BW's and ANGER'S.  To me they both dropped off about the same.  Both also regained their performance after going thru the HOT WATER BATH process.

The NO MERCY on the other hand is a different story.  The NM absorbed oil quicker than any ball i've ever owned.  I would have to give that ball a HOT WATER BATH after every 30 to 50 games.  Even though this particular ball needed a lot of maintenance, it's still one of my favorite bowling balls of all time.
