Going to give Hammer a try

I am looking to get the Blade series. Wanting to know what you that have these think about them. I have read the reveiws. But Maybe a little more insight.

For me the sling Blade and Blade particle really stand out from that line up.

Look in hammer forum for a my mini review of the sling blade.

Nice backend on the balls that start revving early. Mine are/were drilled for more arc than flip. all of them carried well. on med-light or short patterns, the sling blade is dynamite. on these conditions I have come very close to shooting a 300.

I have kind of moved into the Diesel Line up. the Turbo and diesel Particle Pearl offer more mid lane arc and that means control for me. I also think the pin action from the diesel line is better. the Diesels seams to keep the pins flying lower. tripping out 4's and 8's an lot more for me than the blade line up. I just can't bring myself to pick the Diesel pearl over the sling blade.

Ty, if you come over to Planet on Saturday, I'll be throwing my Hammer stuff.  I'm drilling up an Attack tommorow and may need it early (I expect to ton of oil)  I'm sure later in the day I'll get a chance to use the Sling Blade or the Blade particle.

Because of the price range of the Sling and Blade particle, you should buy both of them.  If you need a good driller, let me know.  Phil Roberts drills for several touring pros as well as the top bowlers in Tulsa.  He laid out my new Hammer stuff to profection.

Hose,
  please post some info on the attack in the hammer forum. I have not drilled up any Vicious line balls yet. I hopping someone around me will set up a hammer day.

Thanks guys. The winter leagues I bowl are usually med/heavy oil with carry down. My ENG does well until the oil is carried down to far. I was thinking the blade particle and the reactive. Hadn't thought about the Sling, Not to sure I would use it much. Looks like the reactive will handle more oil than the Particle if I am reading it right.

Ty, which house do you bowl in?  I'd think that the Sling Blade would be great when the heads get dry with some carrydown.  Mine gets through the heads really smooth with a nice strong backend, but it's not flippy.  I'm not sure if DJ Archer will be there Saturday or not, but if he is, we can visit with him about some of the Hammer stuff that may work for you.

I just drilled up the Attack and threw it on a house shot that didn't have much oil.  I could play deep with it but I was out of my comfort zone that deep.  I expect this ball to be great when I have a ton of head oil with fresh backends.  As a lefty, we find this in a lot of tournaments that are long formats.  I'm bowling a tournament on Saturday and they put so much oil down because of the amount of play.  If they didn't, the righties would be at 20 after about 4 games.  The means that us lefties will have a flood to contend with early.  I'll post more if I use it any this weekend but I believe it will fit perfect with my Blade reactive and Sling Blade.

I bowl in Edmond. It gets pretty oily there. I ordered the Blade reactive today. I will try it before I get the other blades.

Hose, I bowl in the same house as Ty and I've had good luck with the AMF Angle Evolution Extra last year and the year before. Also last year, the EBONITE V2 Pearl if there is not too much carry down. This summer, I have had excellent luck with the Lane 1 Blueberry. Just giving you this information as it might help you advise Ty.
