Drilling?
« on: April 23, 2005, 09:00:59 AM »
Hey everyone,

Here's the currents arsenal:

Heavy: Real Deal
Heavy: Ultimate Inferno (Polished)
Med-heavy: Blade Reactive
Med-Absolute Inferno
Med-Light: Blade Pearl
Med-Light: Blazing Inferno
Burnt-spares: Target Zone

I think I have a Deal and another Real Deal on the way. How would you suggest laying these out and prepping them so as to maximize their usefulness in this aresenal?

I am a RH with above average speed (18-20 mph), slightly above average revs and a very high track. My A-game is going firm and straighter but I can go deep and wheel when needed. Hope that helps. Let me know.

I have to check to make sure, but I'm pretty sure the pin is below the ring, cg slightly right and LMB right of ring. I'm not postive of that, however. I'd have to have the ball in front of me to recall.

Gene,

Sounds like you have the Real Deal drilled similar to mine.  This is an awesome layout and really handles heavy oil conditions well.  Since you are going to get another Real Deal, I would drill this with a High RG length layout: http://www.hammerbowling.com/shop_stuff/detail.php?drilling=Drilling%20Instruction%204
This will get the Real Deal more length down the lane then give you more backend towards the end of the lane.

As for the Deal, I would put the pin under the ring finger.
