thank you all for the kind words of encouragements up in Reno while i was bowling the constructionjobs.com championship
making it through the tqr was a great experience
the pattern was definitely rough...
in the TQR i used a no mercy with a 4 inch pin to pap and the hart as strong as i could get it with keeping the cg within the legal limits of the static weights...
the 264 my last game of the TQR i found a funnel playing about 25 to 15 throwing it very slow and hitting it as hard as i could...
then for the 14 games of qualifying, thanks to Tony Reyes, i got a Black Widow Bite to throw along with a new Blue vibe drilled more aggressive than the one i brought which was helpful the later games of the first block of quali
the Bit was drilled similar to the No Mercy, with the MB about 3 inches out from my thumb... i needed something to read the midlane but still have backend reaction and the Bite was the only thing to really do this for me...
the lanes changed a lot faster in the actual qualifying than in the TQR...
6 of my games out of the 14 had open tenth frames all due to splits... give me those splits back and i would have probably made the round of 32...
the lanes transitioned like crazy and it was a great experience for learning purposes and to just be able to be out there and bowl...
my first TQR and i am 1 for 1 so I am way stoked and still contemplating going to medford or not... but i will be bowling the Dick Weber in fountain Valley and probably the exempt doubles TQr in Las Vegas...
once again thank you all for the kind words, and if any of you have questions about the tournament, Hammer, or the Bite or other Hammer equipment please just post on here or PM me, I am happy to chat
thanks again everyone
