Title: Hammer Hawg

I am also betting it will out hook the GP2 and SCB. I have been told its the biggest hooking ball Hammer has ever made..

Where? Maybe overseas, but thats not possible in the US.. My distributor doesn't even have them yet and he is one of the first to get his shipments from Hammer..

Another thing, if pro shops have had them for a month already, why have none shown up on Ebay yet?

Please verify where these balls have been for a month in pro shops..

Yea, I am sure the pros and staffers have the balls, but no one else has them yet..

Post by: nandosze on July 15, 2005, 09:03:39 PM: I was talking with Rich Blake today and he drilled his pin above ring about an inch with cg stacked if I remember correctly. Either way, he said it was so strong, that he probably wouldnt use it unless there was a flood. I have not seen him throw it yet so thats as much as I can say. If I get a glimpse of it, Ill compare it to his Big Deal. It looked like oob finish. Strong ball all the way down the lane.

Blake's ball had a long pin, and it STILL was that strong? Pretty impressive...looks like it may be a little stronger all the way around than the Big Deal (depending on layouts and surface preps of course...)

Post by: Bowljr300 on July 15, 2005, 10:05:49 PM: I had the opportunity to throw this ball at the recent Ebonite/Hammer demo day in Orlando, Florida.

The best way to describe the ball is to compare it to a Big Deal, but with considerably stronger motion at the breakpoint. When I sent both balls as wide as possible, the Hawg came back far stronger and with continuous motion at the back end. It was very difficult to get the ball to "quit". If you liked the Big Deal, you will definitely enjoy throwing this ball.

Post by: Traumatize on July 15, 2005, 10:16:02 PM: My friend used a Hawg for 24 games at Junior Gold this week. He had it sanded at 600 drilled, pin under ring, cg kicked with a weighthole on the ML. This ball starts up very early, and is very strong in the midlane. It needs oil or it will burn up and quit. Extremely controllable ball as long as there is head oil to keep it on line, and it goes by the saying "Nothing Hits Like A Hammer!!!!"

4 3-4/25degree/pin up

This ball gets some great length and really gets around the backs hard.This ball comes out the box at 1000aberlon.So if any of you guys need something on oil this ball will be the ball to get.

Post by: Get Hammered on July 21, 2005, 06:41:57 PM: I drilled a three inch pin stacked over the ring. On house conditions the ball burned up pretty quickly even as deep as 25-30 at the arrows. On the 44 foot PBA Pattern this ball really performed tremendously.

a new Ebonite ball for the first time since the V2's i was very impress.
I tried the Big Time Solid, the one Tommy Jones used this past season and
i got to say that ball is awesome. It goes through carry down so easily and
revs fast.

I have have thrown the new Big Rig Diesel and that ball rocks too. Also the Big EDeal is a monster hitting ball. I really believe Ebonite has down great things for these new Hammers. So i am really anxious now to try out a couple of the new hammers. I have my eye on the Hawg, Razor, and Big Rig.

Post by: 9cline on August 04, 2005, 05:24:16 PM: Got Mike Wittington to drill up mine at a Demo day in Charlotte,NC . Took the ball outta the box and played on a 43' sport pattern. Played the 3rd arrow and ball made a nice quick arc into the pocket, the third game moved into the 4th arrow and was still in the hole. I am a tweener with med.high ball speed (17-20 mph) off the hand and med.revs. Never had to slow it down at all. Also played on a med. house shot and had to give the ball lots of room to roam. Ball is great for my game so far,as I was looking for an oil ball. Will see how it holds up and post later on it.

In fact as far as hammers go the razor blade is a much better ball.The razor hooks a lot just slightly less than the hawg. But the razor does not jerk when it hits the dry,nor does it over skid the break point. The hawg seems too erratic on synthetic anvillanes; over skid on oil and oversnap on dry and doesnt like carry down.Maybe sanding can help this. But the Razor is a better ball even on oil right out of the box and is way cheaper. I have tested them side by side.Drilling the same.
