I was thinking about buying a new ball i was already reading reviews and everything but i would like a better opinion. I was thinking of either buying a Hammer Saw Blade or Elite R47. I am right handed, bowl on synthetic lanes and throw the ball between the 1st and 2nd arrow, and not a cranker. Which ball would work out better i need a new ball so bad at the place where i bowl they now add a lot of extra oil. They used to only have light to medium so my Track Solution and Hammer Switch had a hard backend but now they go straight. I need a ball that hooks in heavy oil.

so is this ball isn't a blemish then should i get it?

The best covers for true heavy oil are particle.  They just grab so much better.  However if your looking for a ball for med to heavy the Doom could be your answer.  Just dull it to 600 grit like I did with one of mine.  Next drill it strong to handle the heavier oil.

Read my mini review about the dull Doom.  My Dooms are not drilled very strong.  Both are drilled the same and have the pins 5.5" from my pap.  My Dooms would be even stronger if I drilled them stacked leverage.  My point is the Doom can handle heavier oil great when dulled.  

I know a lot of people feel pearlized balls shouldn't be dulled down.  I disagree completely.  You may be surprised at what you find when this is done.  I have found that the Doom cover when dulled can handle a lot more oil then it does with the pearlized shiny cover.  It's a completely different ball when it comes to oil handling capability.  It also changed the reaction a little bit.  It went form a skid flip reaction to more of a strong arc.  

I will post more reviews on it in a couple of weeks when I use it on our heavy oil pattern.
