Hammer Bowling’s newest addition to the High Performance line is a Hybrid with an HK22C base formula. The C stands for Cohesion and that means the cover “sticks to the lane” better even in the lane conditioner. Also going back to the original Launcher core found in the Hammer Envy, R&D found it to be a better match up than if they used to Launcher LRG core. Some found (including me) the Envy went a little forward off the pattern for their styles or bowling environments. Those bowlers needed more volume to use both the Envy and Extreme Envy. Being a hybrid and a cover than can be adjusted, this could be the top of your bag choice. The core numbers are big and you’ll notice the over 2.500 RG value. Usually that is for balls designed to clear a bit further down the lane. With older higher friction lanes, this combination of strong core and covers balance out the ball so it doesn’t start its motion too early or as the fronts begin to lose their volume. The Hammer Pure Envy uses the alternate Asym core in the 13 & 13lb range and D.O.T. is there to help keep the warranty in force.
