I hope they continue the Vibe core. I've been missing that core roll lately, I've been considering getting and/or stashing at least 1 Viral Hybrid

I don't think so. I think they will keep the core and just change the name of the ball.

Is the VH that good? Very few reviews on this ball and one video ball reviewer mentioned it was O/U for him. Though very different style than I am... but there's another video of a guy who is close to my game... the ball has length and strong move off the dry, not to snappy.... so maybe...

The Viral Hybrid is one of my favorites... I actually took my to 1000 with clean & sheen as the FF polish was a little too long for me. I use this ball on the drier lane patterns and with the clean & sheen, it is a little smoother off the spot for me.

We have drilled a few of these for bowlers with lower rev rates that like to play straighter on our drier house pattern, and they are in love with how this ball rolls for them.

If you want a touch stronger ball than the Viral Hybrid, look into the Burgundy Hammer - modified Vibe / Viral core with a  touch stronger cover - if hooks too much at box surface (500), then hit it with a 2000 pad, and that ball is MONEY!!  The Burgundy is a must have ball in the bag to control the over/under on drier lane patterns...

Hope this helps...
