The Hammer Effect is still a great selling product. With today’s higher friction lane surfaces, we are seeing bigger core, solids with a little shine on them in many brands. What this does is get the ball to rev up but not roll forward fast when it reads back end friction. That couple of feet of travel makes a huge difference in entry angle and hitting power. If you need more traction, we are sure taking the shine off will help on super heavy volumes or speed dominant bowlers, but we suggest bowling with it for awhile then make a decision. You can always change it back. Hammer is keeping the 4 colors on the Effects and this one looks good. We put a “?” in the Coverstock definition because although we have seen this other brands, but are not quite sure if it’s the same formulation. D.O.T. allows for any layout you choose and keeps the warranty in effect (ha!) This could be a choice for the USBC Championship on the top of your bag.
