Hello Hammerheads,

Well, I just picked up my Black Widow Venom Wednesday from Beans. Here's how it turned out, and why..

We laid out my Venom this way in order for it to get extreme length, yet keeping it somewhat smooth/violent on the backend. Beans came up with the layout for me once I told him what I wanted. He nailed it on this one. The layout from PIN-PAP and MB-PAP ends up being about 6 1/4 x 6.

I tried the ball out Wednesday after getting it drilled, and didn't have much success at all. 90% was me, 5% lanes, 5% the ball itself. I was physically unable to bowl, the lanes were leftover garbage, and the ball was just too shiney. I used it about 3 games, just to knock the shine down and break the cover in a bit.

Today was my Saturday Youth league. First ball out of the bag is my Venom, let's see how it reacts. I was standing 5 right of where I usually stand, and throwing over 3rd arrow out to about 8. The ball was getting down the lane so easily and just popping so smoothly on the backend. Not one ten pin the whole first game, meaning I had a 286 (choking the 11th frame :/). Finished the day off with only a 689, but I absolutely LOVED the ball. I didn't have to make a move until the 8th frame of the 3rd game, either!

Overall, I can't wait to get more games on this ball. It's just so great and has a beautiful look/hit at the pins.
