Title: Hammer Time
Post by: lovespider on January 14, 2010, 12:46:29 PM
I,ve had a Emerald Vibe for about a year now.I Love this ball, it has a good flip on the backend, and it hits the pins like a freight train. I have been bowling with roto grip, but now I wish to know, what other balls do hammer offer that are similar to emld. vibe with a good flip on the backend, but for more volume of oil? Did well with the vibe last night, one open frame kept me from a perfect game. Any input would be a beautiful thing. Thanks

Burn. Very strong ball, lots of backend.

Burn would be the next step up from the Emerald if you want "good flip on the backend" for more volume. For heavier volumes the Black Widow Sting is the next step up from the Burn when looking for "good flip on the backend".

From what I've seen the Burn has alot of backend to it, and is overall stronger than I thought it'd be. It's kind of the sleeper in midprice balls. The Hot Sauce is always and excellent choice too.

I agree. burn then sting. both have a lot of backend and each would be the next step up in the amount of oil handling. (oil handling (most to least) sting > burn > emerald)

Thanks for all your replies. I did get to check the BW sting at a demo and did well with it. Even though it was not drilled specifically for me,So it could get even better (I hope). Looking for that first out of the bag ball for the fresh house shot. If I get one punched I will post the results. Thanks again
