Anyone else drill up a wrench.drilled one up since hammer sent it to me as a replacement for my cracked epidemic and wow am I dissapointed.Ball just skates on any oil and isnt much better on the dry....wish I could go back in time and sell it before I drilled it up...

Try knocking the polish off and see.  Coverstock manipulation can really make a difference, so try playing with it. 

With a 20* VAL angle and such a small drilling angle, unless you have no hand, the ball may be hooking early and dying out.

When the Deal was on the market my local shop was having to resurface enough of the Hammer equipment that he found it simpler to just recommend something else that he wouldn't have to spend an additional 15 minutes on to get the reaction the customer was expecting.

It happens... Hammer (all of EBI essentially) has taken steps to reduce "over polishing" but I could see a few slipping onto the wrong polishing line and slipping through the cracks.

The Wrench has a very slightly asymmetric core, .008 MB.  The after-drilling drilling angle will be pulled from the marked MB toward the thumb hole, increasing it.  You would have to have access to a DeTerminator to know exactly what it is.  --  JohnP
