Cherry Vibe or Blue Vibe For Medium Lanes....
« on: April 13, 2008, 03:52:53 AM »
Hi there, people!

I need some opinions on which of the Vibes I should choose for medium-light oil conditions with a bit of carrydown. I typically bowl on a second shift of league, and none of my current balls will work in those conditions (I own a Black Widow Pearl, Shift, Cell & Maxim). It's either too much over/under once the lanes break down. Been resorting to using the Maxim for lane conditions like these. I'm a stroker with medium revs (270 RPM) with a ball speed of 16 - 17 mph, playing straight up. Thanks in advance for all your feedback.

IMO the Cherry will take lighter oil than the Blue, OOB. If you adjust the covers or polish either, then depending on what you take the cover grit to will depend on the oil conditions either ball will excel in.

I forgot to add that I rarely mess about with the surface of the ball. So, please base your feedback on OOB condition, because it's not exactly cheap where I live (Malaysia). Thanks!

OOB condition for medium oil you are going to want the blue vibe.

Depends on which reaction you favor. Earlier read with more of a strong arc that can handle more oil then Blue Vibe. More length with a snappier backend handling less oil Cherry Vibe. Both balls are strong and not for really dry lanes. If you are using plastic on this condition you might want to look at the Ebonite Bash with its low flare core.
