Heavy Oil Ball

Does anyone know of any plans by Hammer to release a new heavy oil ball? I know Hammer has the Cold Blood, but it seems to be more of a medium oil ball and not a "true" heavy oil ball.

Just trying to see if there is any info out or something that maybe flowing through the grapevine.

in the EBI line-up
the GB2 is plenty strong and a great ball.

i have had this conversation with several current folks in the know
i am better off with medium equipment and drilling it a little stronger, then adjusting with surface changes form there.
the really strong pieces just dont seem to be strong in the right part of the lane, and if it does happen to work, it wont for long as they change the oil pattern rather quickly.

I have a longer pin and rolly layout on my GB2 and its plenty strong, im sure i could go much stronger if i wanted to.
you are better off keeping the ball straighter in the front part of the lane and looking for motion further down the lane if possible


what conditions are you finding where you need a stronger piece?

I'm looking for something more even rolling that starts up early. I obviously don't expect a hook monster in the oil, but a different look than the skid/flip look that hammer normally provides.

I will say the hyper cell would be a much better choice. I have two drilled differently and have drill another dozen or so for clients. They roll early and heavy in long or heavy oil

Just completed a 4 week ( 16 games ) stretch on the Badger pattern in my singles league.  I averaged 217 using the Legend exclusively.  I have always felt that many people don't really understand the dynamics of friction, or lack thereof when they look for so called heavy oil balls.  Anything that starts early is not going to have the continuation to carry on heavy long oil.  Balls like Nano, Sync, Mastermind were all worthless to me on heavy long oil.  Couldn't carry corners to save my life with them

i know someone in my league is using a legend with a ton of surface for the badger pattern and he doesn't do too bad. Might be the best option for right now?

The gamebreaker is much cheaper, but will not come no where close to the hyper cell in heavy or long oil.I had the original gb and loved it, but it would just skate in the heavy stuff .On our pba league on Sunday mornings the hyper cell shines while the Gb2 couldn't keep up. Gb2 is better on 40ft or less and with some shine kills the cheetah !!
