**Disclaimer**
Bear in mind these are generalizations from watching a righty tweener, a righty power tweener, and lefty pure stroker throw the ball, I have not thrown a Doom, but I have thrown (and enjoyed) the High Rev, it looks as though the Doom is definitely more on the backend than the High Rev, but again, JUST A GENERALIZATION

If anyone has a chance to buy the Doom do it! This is one ball that once you buy it you will have it for life because you will never want to trade or get rid of it. I'm going to buy 2 more before there discontinued and drill them the same as mine is now. That is how special this ball is.
I know a lot of bolwers will always talk highly of every ball they have. It seems that a lot of bowlers on here are afraid to say that a ball they bought sucks. Well not me! I throw a lot of Track balls and really like them for my game. However I had two Delta 1's and after giving them a solid chance both of them sucked for me. Now the Doom on the other hand is an absoloute winner! This ball is fantastic on med to light oil. Carry down gives it a little bit of a problem but I just go arund it when that happens. This ball will recover form way out for me.
If your Doom isn't hooking very much then your bowling on too much oil for it. That's another reason I like this ball. I can read lanes with it. If it's sliding too long I know that I need to go up to my next ball in my arsenal. Once the lanes start to break down this is the ball that comes out for the rest of the games. I can just keep moving left as the lanes dry up. This ball just gets better and better thru the break down phase.

I have owned 2 Hi-Revs, 2 Dooms, and 2 Vibes. All of them have been drilled differently.
Here is what you should typically see.
Hi-Rev- good mid lane read, heavy arc to the pocket
DOOM- longer than the hi-rev, and depending on drilling- strong arc or jerk/flip
VIBE- Longer than both, and much milder off the spot.
The HAWG WILD is very good too. Longer than the Hi-Rev, but with more of a solid look than the DOOM.
For the lefty, I would just suggest the Doom. Pin about 5" from PAP, with a 60 degree layout. This ball will be a beast.

Drilling a heavier oil ball for length to use on dry lanes is hit or miss. Sometimes the cover just wont allow it to work properly. A balls cover accounts for 75 percent of the balls reaction in my opinion. In fact it may account ofr even more than that. I feel it's easier to take a med oil ball and dull it ofr heavy oil than it is to take a dull heavier oil ball and drill it and polish it for dry.
