High Rev.... Views Please....
« on: August 31, 2005, 07:10:58 AM »
Brian Graham told me this would be a great Benchmark ball.
He said it will act like a V2 Sanded but with more backend.
It seems to be a nice even ball for all around conditions.

Those who have this ball tell me how it works for you and
what are it's strong and weaknesses on certain conditions.

My high rev was bought and drilled to give me more backend ro my Sharp Blade. Both are drilled the same way, pics in profile. ANyway, the high rev is way to over aggressive on any condition i see. My wood house it just flat out hooks. I have to stand in the left gutter to get it to the pocket, but i dont even try because of the constant 4-9 splits and greek churches. On my synthetic house which has more oil, i have to really play deeper than i would rather play and i have to make a perfect shot or else it will either check up early or not hook at all.

High Rev overall is a great orb for me, just enough length, just enough backend, not too much of either.  Pin above and to the right of ring, CG kicked out a bit, cover taken to 2000 grit Abralon and then lightly polished.  I can't say enough good things about this ball, you just can't describe the reaction well without seeing it.  It's smooth but still firm in the backend...it gets length but still checks up...it hits hard, but that's useless in reviews anyways.  Overall this is a very great ball, just like Mr. Graham said, a benchmark with a little more backend than the V2.

Heres the thing, im afraid that polishing it will make it way to jumpy on the backend....and then i would never be able to get it back to the 4000 grit box if i want to.

Oddly, enough the my polished one is more arcy than the OOB one.   Also-  Hammer finishes its products with Abralon pads, which are readily availible.  So, I see no reason why you should have a Hammer ball that is just bag weight, because you are afraid to polish it.

Polish it and use it.

HAMMER HITS HARDER!!
