Title: High Rev vs. Saw Blade
Post by: dpunky on April 21, 2005, 01:20:19 PM
I currently have the High Rev and I absolutely like the reaction of the ball.  I was thinking about getting the Saw Blade. I was wondering what the key characteristics of the Saw Blade, and how it stacks up against the High Rev.

More angular-similar hooking amount in oob state-maybe a little stronger-did i say more angular?-cleaner through the heads.

Its a slight step above the rev and is much more angular at the breakpoint.

it is better for heavy oil when scuffed and the polished romoved. I own the saw blade and i have it sanded to 1200 grit and i use it on my med-heavy shot. Label drilling, pic in profile, and it works fantastically. Im drilling my High Rev tomorrow, and i expect a ball that works great on normal house shots, a good resin ball, good weight block, strong arc/flip an breakpoint, not as good in the heavy stuff though, since it isnt particle like the saw is.

Hmm...well I have 2 Saw's and 2 HiRevs.  And for me this is exactly the opposite.   I have the HiRevs hooking more, and more angular off the spot down lane.   Both balls are very good, just different looks.

A little polish on the HiRev and you have a ball that pushes through the fronts very cleanly.
