Trap FIGJAM
« on: January 04, 2011, 12:14:41 PM »
My Trap continues to not only impress me (and bail me out of bad shots), but quite a few other people.  I drilled one 4 weeks ago, have used it for 7 league sets now.  Two weeks ago, I shot a 300 with it, last week I shot a 700 on the toughest pair in the house when no one else on the pair even broke 600 (3 other bowlers on the pair hold at least 220+ averages annually), and tonight I finished my set with another 300 for 817.  The ball itself is starting to get a lot more attention here in town, as another high average bowler in the same league bought one a few weeks ago and has popped in a few big sets with it since.  I had quite a few people make comments about how it rolls, hits, and carries again.  It's a significantly different look than everything else people are throwing out here.  The 607A is close, but it's a lot smoother on the backend, and doesn't have as much power at the pins.  Nothing else has the combination of midlane roll, energy retention, and sheer power at the pocket that the Trap has.  My next ball will definitely be a Hammer, and I'm looking at the Taboo to drill up for nationals.  Normally I don't try to sell certain balls to people, but the Trap is usually the one I end up pointing people towards when they come in for a ball.  Great piece, have to find me another one to stick in the closet, because I'm going to wear this one out.

That's just like, your opinion, man.

Hampster,

The Trap compliments the Taboo very nicely in the hindsight that when the Taboo is moving too much off the dry, I can go to it to get more length down lane and still plenty of pop on the backend. I have to agree with you here.

God Bless!

Thanks for the insight and your opinion of the Trap. We are glad you are enjoying it and will continue to buy Hammer :). As for the Taboo it is a must have in the bag especially for heavier oil. Make sure to stop into The Hammer Booth at nationals to get some insight as to how the lanes are playing. Keep up the great bowling.

the trap is very nice. And to be polished it still has room to be even more of a heavy oil ball. I have never thrown a polished ball with this much strength for oil and the ability to migrate left and still carry.
