does hammer shirts run true size or do they shrink?

i need to buy either a mock or colored bowling shirt with my name on back.

i wear a xl shirt so would a xl hammer shirt fit or should i buy a xxl and allow for shrinkage?

As with any shirt, it depends on what it's made of, and how you launder it.
If it's polyester, it won't shrink. But a lot of the polyester "performance" shirts are cut more athletic in fit, so they tend to be tighter.

If you get a 100% cotton shirt, it will probably shrink.

The hammer shirts run a little small on the ones that i have. The athletic shirts (dri-sorb) run pretty true but do shrink a little.
