Hot water bath

Just put my no mercy beat'n in a hot water bath and I was amazed at the results. Before my beat'n wasn't hooking at all but now I have to stand almost in front of the ball return and through towards the gutter. Best thing I ever did to my bowling ball. Just sharing my success with the hot water bath. Has anybody else have the same success?

I do not tape the holes, not worth the time or aggravation. As long as you give the ball about 1 day at room temp to dry you shouldn't have any problems what so ever. I do mine occassionally and it reacts the same as it did the first time i did it. Most think core doesn't play that big of an effect on the balls reaction anyhow.

so how does everyone use the scotch brite pads if you have no spinner? Do you spin the ball with ur other hand? or what is your technique?  also would anyone recommend using scotch brite pads on a polished ball? like say a doom or toxic? I just want to get the oil out, like some of you have mentioned...

Uhhh, I wouldn't say that.


Yes the core does have an influence.  However, not even close to what influence the cover has on the ball.

I think walmart or menards has them.  Your best bet would be to buy them online it's a lot cheaper.  I prefer to use abralon pads.
