People are so blue when the gas mask knocks them out.  They get sawed to pieces when the blade hits the lane and everyone knows they are Doomed when I set foot in the building!

Right now mine thumps alot..........maybe it is because of the cardboard box that it is still in!

I drilled mine up about 5 pm today (1/25/06).

Heres a pic: http://putfile.com/pic.php?pic=1/2419105632.jpg&s=x4

Threw 3 games on a broked down shot. First off, this ball is SWEET. I put a light coat of polish on it because i was wanting to get The One, but my boss brought this bad boy in, and i was like GIMMIE GIMMIE. So anyway, this ball revs up very very nice. Strong late midlane roll, and since there was carry down, not much flip, but a nice move to the pocket. Again, it wasnt the best shot to throw it on, but it hits HARD, just like the rest of my Hammers. More to come.

Mine got holes in it last night before league.

My first 2 shots ran over the 2 pin going left.

All I have to say is WOW.

This ball is NUTS!

I need to catch up on a few reviews, and this will be one of them.

Stay tuned.

I drilled mine up, if u didnt already read my post above.

Drilling is the same drilling recomended on The One, Pin Under ring, CG 3 inches from thumb. (Cg was 6 3/4 through cg from pin)

This ball freakin rolls. Its very strong and dosnt over react at all for me. Mid lane toll is very strong, and the backend reaction is not as snappy as The One, but the ball covers just as many boards, if not more. (FTI, mine has light coat of polish on it. I will be hitting it with a heavier coat to get it to be more like The One oob)

Road Hawg is very angular, more than other Hammer ball.  I had to polish it and it made it a skid/flip ball.  For heavier volume conditions, I can always use a little surface.  The cover change is awesome

jkiser01, I just reply to your message concerning the polish.  Little polish with good pressure mamde a big difference.  Little polish is better than a nig glob of polish

So a guy like me that has a down/in throw between 1st and 2nd arrow, speed about 15-16. Will this ball be good for me?

Hammer'em!

Tim,
Just got this ball today, and rolled 2 games with it (my friend and teammate Bobby Brandt of Gebhardt's drilled it).
Must say that this is an absolute AWESOME ball !!!
It would most certainly be a great weapon for you (or for anyone else).

BowlingWolf

Sweet! Thanks for the positive reply! Now I will go the next step what would be the best layout? Pin and Top weight?

Tim,
I believe my Road Hawg has about 3 oz. of top weight with about a 3 inch pin.
It is drilled label with the cg swung right about half an inch and down about
a quarter of an inch (leaving it slightly positive and thumb static weights).
Surface is box sheen.

BowlingWolf

Drilled mine up on Saturday. Used my stock layout which is pin under ring
which is about 5 in. from my pap. I never throw anything in box, so I put my
base finish on which is clean and smooth, then magic shine. For comparison
sake I threw against my RSP which has the same surface prep and drilling, Road
Hawg was earlier, and easily five to six boards stronger on the back. Threw
last night in  league, changed surface to 2000 abralon, then magic shine.
Ball pushed farther, then made a strong move to the hole. With this surface,
I was able to use for the entire set. I know scores do not matter, had
749 with it, with two stone 8 pins thrown in for good luck.
I would to love to throw this ball with a stronger pin position, are you listening, Dave?

Picked mine up last night, but didn't get to throw it until today in league.  Well I threw it for 2 frames, both splits.  The ball hooks a ton, and the lane conditions were well Urethane Ball material.

I have mine drilled (lefty) with the pin to the upper left of the ring finger, the CG stacked below inbetween the thumb and fingers, with an X-Hole punched in the side.

It hooked a ton, and the shots I threw in practice that came close to the hole destroyed the rack.  I'm looking forward to throwing it on Friday where there is actually some oil on the lanes.  I hope it does what I think it's going to do!!
