« on: June 01, 2006, 01:45:59 AM »

No, these balls are not the same in any way. Both of them have different cores and coverstocks. The SR300 has the same cover as the original The One. You can go to bowlersjournal.com and readu about the SR300 and Smashtime. I am sure next month they will talk about the Black Widow and Pain.

I do know the Black Widow should be quite a bit stronger than the SR300 due to the core difference..

yes i was thinking the Black Widow would be stronger than the Sr300 because of the core, but the main thing i was wondering was if the new Violent Reactive coverstock would be like the GB10.7

I don't beleive so.. The violent reactive coverstock is new according to what I was told. The GB 10.7 is comparable to the juiced reactive coverstock which debuted on the road hawg and now is the coverstock on the pain.

painkiller..

I was more so just talking about they both share the same coverstocks (GB 10.7), not necessarily the same oob finish.

The one is 4000 abralon and then polished, the SR300 is just 4000 abralon according to this:

SR300:
Coverstock: GB10.7
Factory Finish: Sanded with 4000 Grit Abralon Pad

what type of hook did it have? (backend, arc?), and what condition were you playing on?

It was more of an arc and I was playing on a house shot with medium heavy oil.. Its 4000 abralon at box finish. I think if I wanted it to hook more I could go maybe 2000 abralon or even 1000 and it would hook alot more.. I did not buy it to be a hook beast. Thats what the Hawg-Zilla will be for when it gets here..

jkiser01, I'm curious as to your opinions/feedback on the SR300 and the PAIN.  what kind of conditions did you play them on and what were the pro's and con's (if any) on both.  I'm using the one ONE right now and really like it, but am looking for something for when the lanes start breaking down.

I have drilled up the sr300 yet, just the pain and I like this ball alot. Its got the same juiced reactive coverstock as the road hawg and reacts alot like that ball but not as squirty off the dry as the RH..
