Hows Your Dooms holding up?

Ok guys how are your Dooms holding up?  Is this the best reactive pearl you have ever thrown or what?  

I have over a 100 games on my box condition Doom and it still reacts like new.  It still looks like new.  I maintain it well.  I use factory finish polish and clean it with energizer cleaner after every set.  I'm very pleased with how the cover is holding up with this ball.

I'm also looking forward to the new Raw Hammer Pain that is coming out.  I'm set with my Doom arsenal but want to try the new Raw Hammer Pain if it has the same core as the Doom.

The PAIN is stronger than the DOOM. The PAIN is much less under/over, more of a true roll and strong on the backend.  All this info is from watching a teammate test the PAIN.  Can't wait for the PAIN to be released.

Is the pain a solid reactive?  Does it use the same core as the Doom?  I'm guessing the pain is a solid version of the Doom.  I could be wrong but that is what I exspect.  

I wonder how much different it is compared to my dull Doom.  My Dull Doom is drilled strong and dulled to 600 grit and this ball is a lot stronger over all than my Box cover Doom.

IMO, this will be another 'hot seller' as soon as some info comes out. If it is stronger/longer than the Doom, I'm sure I can find a spot in my bag for one.

Im pissed at mine!!! Well the lane belt, anyway. it got caught coming off the rack in the back(I work at a bowling alley) and it fell off the belt and scratched the crap out of it so now i have these ugly marks on it....whoops my bad you're referring to the cover..Mines is great.

Im dissappointed thought can we say number 4. 4 chances at a 300, after a while either imma get it or imma quit.

1st time shot back 11
2nd time struck up til the 4 frame got 7-10 split picked up the back 7
3rd time- shot front 6, lucky number 7, got my favorite friend the 1,2,5,10
finished with the back 5
4th time, struck the front 9, split in the 10th, picked it up and struck in the 12th.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

hmm, lookin to resurface mine, doesnt react well under the conditions in play in.  But what would you say its finish is?  All I read is polished finish, what would be its equivalent in grit?

wassssup chitown, i took a couple weeks off the lanes (this killed me..hahaha) to let thumb heal up...the tendon is a little sore after about 6 games still, but its all good.........my DOOM is awesome, i went to a different house just yesterday and shot 667....with a 233 the last game with an open in the tenth, dam 4 6 split....switching to 15lbs i think is helping my game, i can now cup my wrist more and come through the ball with more revs...DOOM DOOM DOOM!!!

The box cover on the Doom is 1000 grit abralon finish and polished with factory finish polish.  To maintain the shiny cover and box condition just use ebonites factory finish polish.

If you want the Doom for heavy oil just dul it to 600 grit and it will hook a lot more on a flood.  Great ball and responds great to cover changes.

chitown, when i get my doom resurfaced to get those nicks and slashes out the ball, what should i do to restore it back to box finish?

Actually, if you stop worrying about 300, it will happen.  Whe you think about it, you are not focusing on each shot, and a bad shot will occur.  It will happen if you keep improving and LET IT !!!

aww honestly though it is short term, i dont think about at all. i don't even know what im shooting until almost the end of the game, then i look at my scores, thats how i find out what i did, plus for some reason or anotha i have lost my passion for bowling, not sure if im gonna start up again next near.

Well to bring it back to box finish you need a ball spinner.  Dull the ball to 1000 grit with ethier abrolan or scotch brite.  Then use Ebonites Factory Finish polish.  The factory finish will bring it back to box condition.  Then use Ebonites energizer cleaner.  This will give it the tacky feeling.

That's it.  It is very easy to bring this ball back to box finish.  Just make sure when using the polish with a spinner that you apply a little pressure to really make the ball shine like new.

Once the ball is back to box condition you can use the factory finish every 6 games to keep it looking new.  The maintance can be done by hand.

how do you know what grit scotchbrite pads are? What one is 1000 grit?
