I have the Purple Vibe. I find it a good medium/light oil ball. On scorched lanes it hooks too much to be really considered a dry, dry lane ball. But on most light conditions it is a very good bowling ball, hits hard, carries well, and does what it is supposed to do. I haven't tried the blue Vibe. In fact, I can't really understand releasing a slightly more aggressive version of this ball. I would have gone opposite way, but I figure they know what they are doing.

I've got the purple Vibe and love it.  It's a bit stronger than I was expecting.  I wanted it for a dry lane ball.  But, I've found I can use it on anything medium to dry.  Revs up nice in the midlane and makes good strong reaction off the break.  The carry is excellent.  It's a great ball for THS leagues.
I don't understand why Hammer released another Vibe so close to the original.  When I bought my Vibe last October first game out I shot 279.  I wrote to Hammer and asked if they had any plans to put out a solid reactive version.
That's what I was hoping the blue one would be... guess not.  Perhaps I could get the Blue, put a short pin to pap and hit it with a 1000 pad?
I seriously doubt you could go wrong buying either ball, or either of the Raw Hammer balls.
Good Luck.
Rock On!!

Thanks everyone! I have low revs/ stroker/ and medium speed. So the purple vibe is less hook than the blue vibe? I have a hawg wild with the cut throat coverstock and love it! The blue vibe has that same coverstock so does it perform that same way as hawg wild but for the light? I need the ball for light/ dry/ and 2nd shift lanes! I just went to a tournament that was 2nd shift and dry. All of my balls are for medium/heavy so I need a light one. Anyone have a Blue Vibe? Thanks

it probably wouldn't perform as good as the Hawg Wild since the Wild has a stronger core, but it might be close on lighter conditions?

Sorry p/c didn't see that you posted this here as well.  From what you describe you're looking for, and my experience with the purple vibe, combined with hat I've heard of the blue vibe, I really think the blue vibe would be more ball than you're looking for.

I don't have one but I'm getting ready to buy the blue vibe. The blue vibe is supposed to be an arching  type hook where the purple is supposed to be a more skid flip ball

really so the purple as more length? I guess on dry lanes you would want a arching? wouldn't you? Even thought I'd perfer length than arching. Thanks everyone!

I throw these balls ALL THE TIME as my sport league is a bit on the curvey side.... both balls are drilled 5 1/2" pin above bridge.  Both balls give same ball motion, but the Blue Vibe is about 3 boards more overall hook.  These balls are absolutely great!

Don't forget that if the purple or blue is too much for the dry you could always polish the ball with ebonites extender polish or tracks delayed reaction to give it that xtra length.

Thanks everyone!
This is what Brian Graham(hammmer manager) said- "For light oil lane conditions, I highly recommend the new Vibe Blue. The Vibe will provide excellent length with good backend reaction making it an excellent choice on lighter oil.  The Purple Vibe will have more length and a more aggressive move at the breakpoint, and the Blue Vibe will provide a more controllable ball motion."
So he says the Blue so the Blue it is. He hasn't told me wrong yet so.... I was wondering why some people said the Blue Vibe was more aggressive?

People are probably saying the blue vibe is stronger because of it's over all hook.  It probably has a little more mid lane and less on the back end which is why it's more controllable than the purple vibe.
