My arsenal already has a Action, BW, Doom and a Black Hammer. I want to add a Total NV and a Toxic to my arsenal. Would this be a good move? I think this would complete my arsenal.

Well, it always depends upon drilling, coverstock prep, and the conditions on which you plan to use them, but, just off the cuff, I think you can get away with fitting both a TNV and Toxic in there.
From what I see, your arsenal should set up like this:
Heavy: Action
Med-Heavy: TNV
Med: Widow
Med: Toxic
Med-light: Doom
Light: Black Hammer
Again, that is just a general assessment. The true viability of such a lineup will depend upon how you drill them and prep their covers. If you do it correctly, though, you should be able to fit all of those into the same arsenal with little to no overlap.

The TNV would be a good selection but pass on the TOXIC. You have a DOOM to handle the same conditions the TOXIC would.

What do you mean? What's going on with it? Are you sure it's not the condition your bowling on?
Listen, i'm being very honest with you. I just got rid of my TOXIC. For me this ball was not good. It's too strong when it hits the friction. This ball is just unpredictable. I bowl on tough lane conditions every week in league (not a walled up house shot). I prefer bowling balls that will work well on both tough and easy house conditions. I just don't see that with the TOXIC.
Now the TOXIC would work well on a house shot that has a lot of miss area. However what ball doesn't work well on conditions like that?

chitown is right I have the toxic and I do not like it at all. It is way to jumpy off the dry. Add a long oil pattern to the mix and then it doesn't move. I just don't have any control with this ball. Will be getting a no mercy or TNV once I get rid of it

I guess it's just personal preference. The way the Toxic is supposed to move, is exactly what I'm looking for. I love my Doom, but it just hasn't worked the same as it did a couple months ago. The league that I have been bowling in has had really heavy oil the first 40-42 feet and the about the last 18-20 feet it has been about medium oil, and I think that the Toxic would be perfect on those lanes

the toxic would be the worst choice of a ball for that lane condition. The toxic is a med to light oil ball at best. I have tried to throw mine on a heavy shot and it sucked, unless you like your ball to just not move at all. You may want to do a little more research before just going out and buying every new ball that comes out. I think you buy based on what others are saying on here about the ball rather than what is going to work best for your style. Just my opinion, but I think the last thing you need is something else that you don't know how to throw.

Crusher, V SPEC 11 is correct. He's just giving you an honest opinion about a ball. A lot of people on these sites are afraid to give a bad review of a ball.
Now he's correct is saying that the TOXIC is not a good ball for long oil. The TOXIC has a lot of built in length. It goes longer than the DOOM. It also responds to friction a lot more. Now the DOOM has a big back end reaction as well but it's far more controllable.
It seems that your set on buying that ball. So go ahead and get it. However don't be surprised if your not happy with it.
If you bowl on really easy condition this ball will be fine. If you get on some lane patterns that require accuracy it's going to suck!

I think your mistaken with the oil pattern your bowling on. If the lanes are heavy for 40' to 42' then oiled another 20' there would be oil all the way to the pin deck. If that's the case no ball is going to hook. Your probably bowling on a pattern that is 42' long.

Well, that was just the way the lanes were in my league the last couple of weeks. I had throw almost a straight line to the pocket with my Black Widow. Next year I'm gonna be bowling at a different house where I currently go to pratice about 9-15 games a week, and I average about a 200-220 on those lanes. So the house that I go to practice on has pretty easy lane conditions.

The league that I have always bowled in has always had terrible lanes, I have the highest average in the league and it is a 189. While in other houses I average anywhere from a 200-220.

I have the Toxic, and it's alright. Definately not controllable but will work if you're accurate. The Doom would be a better choice.

Your right! Just because the TOXIC didn't work for us doesn't mean it won't work for you.
I have owned many bowling balls over the last 4 seasons. I also bowl on tough lane conditions every single week in my big money league. Having the right types of equipment is very important because of the amount of money that's on the line. I gave the TOXIC a shot but it's just too un-controllable. The ball responds to friction too much. As soon as it sniffs a hint of dry boards it's gone!
Now if your bowling on one of those easy walled up house patterns, this ball will be OK. You wont need to be accurate on conditions like that. If your a bowler that hit's tourney's or bowls on tough lane patterns this ball is a waste of money. If you only bowl on easy walled up house patterns then disregard what I have said about the TOXIC.
Let us know if you end up getting this ball and how it works for you.

crusher,
I do not think the Toxic is going to be a bad choice as long as you have some area to allow the ball to finish. IF it is long oil and no dry then it may not be the best choice. Most of all what I would probably do is make sure that your ball driller knows what you are looking to get out of the ball on the condition that you are going to be throwing on.........AND BE SURE THAT YOU GET THE LAYOUT THAT IS GOING TO ASSIST in giving you that reaction.
Goodluck,
Carl

Just to add to this topic I will agree with previous posters (Chitown mainly) in the fact that the Toxic overreacts off dry and skates in the oil, the Doom is one of the best balls i'ver ever had and have a new one coming sometime in the next month or so to fill a hole in my arsenal (My old one lost the fight with the ball return).
Just from my observation i'd get lesson and bake/water bath, and resurface the Doom and I would put money on it its either you and the ball or more of just you but don't give up on the doom, mine had 200+ games on it and was still going strong, no resurfaces, just regular cleaning.
Now i'd suggest not getting the Toxic, TNV up to you, i'd just worry about adjusting to the lanes more, that black widow and Doom can get you a long, long way and the Action and Black Hammer take care of the extremes.
Now do as you please and update us on the toxic but be ready for an I told you so if it doesn't work out.
