Title: If you could only use 1 Hammer ball which would it be?
Post by: chitown on August 09, 2007, 05:06:17 PM: If you could only have a 1 strike ball arsenal this season which Hammer ball would you pick? Of course you could always have a plastic spare to go along with this 1 ball arsenal.

Post by: themagician on August 10, 2007, 05:25:29 PM: I'm loving my polished Anger but even polished with a weaker layout its still strong. I think I might have to go with the Doom and adjust the coverstock accordingly but the Anger would definitely work if I saw more oil more often.

I agree! I don't think it's wise to have a one ball arsenal in today's game. If you only bowl on a THS then a 2 strike ball arsenal is fine. However, if you bowl on THS, tough shots, tourney's then a 4 strike ball arsenal will cover a lot of conditions.

I'm just curious which Hammer ball you guys feel is the most versatile. The reply's are interesting.

Don't get caught up in the ball buying craze. Learn to bowl good with the one ball you have. You can also buy yourself some abralon pads in the different grits to help you cover even more lane conditions.

Post by: Nicanor on September 03, 2007, 09:07:11 AM: I would use the NM Beat'n. The surface is so easy to adjust and the difference from a polished NM Beat'n and one tha is either in box or wet sanded to 600 is amazingly different, even drilled as close as I could to drilling them both.
