Okay, I drilled mine up today.  I put the pin under my bridge (about 6") and the CG 5".  Next, I knocked it down to 500 and worked it back up to 2000.  I have no use for the sideways ball motion it would produce otherwise.  I took it out, expecting it to be a touch stronger than my weak drill Anger (because of the surface).  It was not, which is great for me.

The Psycho was about three boards weaker than my Anger with the same layout.  With the surface it was almost as long and smoother off of the dry.  I threw a 300 the second game out of the box with it and I don't typically hit the house shot very well.  It looks like a nice compliment to the Hammer line.  Also, it looks CRAZY going down the lane.

I got mine yesterday, and love it so far.  I can't compare it to the Doom since I never had one, but I did do a comparison between it and my Break Pearl.  Break Pearl is drilled 5" x 60deg, pin under.  Psycho is drilled 4.5" x 50"deg", with a 1" buffer between the pin and my VAL.  First, let me say, I've pretty much never owned a true skid snap ball (had a rampage, but it was just weak) so this was a treat anyways.

I found that on a line the Psycho would be striking comfortably on, the Break Pearl would be a couple feet earlier and hook a couple more boards overall, i.e. going high and leaving at least a 4 pin or something.  For reference for those who do not have a Break Pearl, I would honestly say that my Break Pearl reacts exactly like the Original Infernos did.  I was actually really surprised, because the Psycho actually made the Break Pearl look "smooth", while the BP so far had been a good hard arc for me.  This isn't to say however, that the Psycho is uncontrollable.

That's the thing that got my attention.  Most skid/snap balls I've seen are allergic to oil and love dry like nobody's business, but the Psycho was actually predictable.  With pearls like this in the past, I've found that if you miss right, you can expect to go high since they'll go insane from touching dry.  But the Psycho actually behaved normally, and would just miss right a bit.  That is the thing that makes me really like this ball I feel I could use it on a sport pattern because it's not so oil sensitive.  In fact, I'll be trying it out tonight on the Chameleon pattern.

Well, that's my preliminary post.  Sorry for the length.  I did have some video of it, but unfortunately lost my cable.  If I manage to get to the store today, look for a quick vid (only a few shots).

Drilled my first on Wednesday and my 2nd is just about to go on the rig!!! The Pyscho is SICK!!!!!!!! It's a Toxic on Steroids. On a house shot the ball went sideways (something I have not got in the current Hammer line). I went 4 3/4" above my fingers with the cg in centre of grip. Im now going to do a 2nd, 5 1/2" under my middle finger with a low hole down my val and take the shine of it maybe with 1000 abralon! Have a tournament tomorrow on a slightly tighter, higher volume pattern so cant wait to use it! Proper report/review/video coming soon.

Went pin over ring 4 3/4 pin to pap cg around 4 1/2 to pap, going to throw it tomorrow. Mine is easily one of the dang ugliest bowling balls i have ever seen, weird phasing and the color is nothing like the photos. Lots of grey, light orange not even close to ogre solid and a few other swirls in it.

If I did not special order this and went to the pro shop, this would not be the ball i would have choose versus the others i have seen online and in photos.

But on the other hand it is so dang ugly that is cool, it makes the Gladiator Pearl look good compared to it.

I used the Psycho in a tourney today.  Wood lanes, kind of tough to carry, dried out after 5 games.  Out of 74 bowlers, I was 5th after 4 games.  Won 1st game match play, shot best of day with 258, died next game.  Tried BWP, and Cherry Vibe too.  BWP was stronger off the breakpoint, and Vibe was weaker.  Psycho went long and turned hard.  It had the best carry of the bunch.  I only finished 15th, but took home almost $400.  I did win the scratch division.  Mine is drilled pin over ring, CG directly below.  I like the color of mine too.  Had lots of folks looking to see what I was rolling, LOL.
