Is the Big Blue really a HEAVY OIL ball?

Is this ball really a Heavy Oil ball... how can it be? It only has a differential of .026

So how can this ball have any kind of backend recovery at all on Heavy Oil???

Saw Big Blue yesterday for the first time in the hand of a friend I bowl with quite often.....so can give a decent review/opinion..

had it drilled pretty agressive....pin at 1...cg just right of center....mb about an inch right of thumb....

1st thing I noticed.........didn't fly off the dry......very controlled....if he played deep in the oil......wasn't as strong as would have thought it..had to have dry boards to get it to the pocket......hit box condition Crunch was much stronger in the oil which surprised me a bit.  To me wouldn't be a heavy oiler at all....but would be an excellent choice on medium.......or wet/dry......as it is extremely controllable.....nothing jumpy about it at all....

just my observation so far...

JMO here.  I think, we have to remember that Hammer was trying to bring out Big Blue to show much of the same reaction that the original Blue Hammer had.  Nice even hook roll not a big hooker.  You wouldn't buy this ball if you wanted a ball that moved a huge amount...there are other balls in the Hammer line for that.  

I would think that the Big Blue would be a perfect ball for walls/THS.

I have the big blue and this ball flat out hooks mine is drilled
with pin stacked and the Hmb mass bias to the left of my thumb. It is very continous the entire lane, is it my biggest hooking ball in oil NOPE!!!!! The addiction for me it slighty stronger in the backend but the Blue starts earlier but overall the addiction is stronger but the mass bias of my addiction is in the stronger position with it right of my thumb. It appears to be very porous looking coverstock and IMO would be harder to shine up but i am not going to since it will be a nice ball to keep for heavier patterns. It has great power and the numbers do not add up to being as strong as this ball really is maybe just a great cover to core matchup.
