is the DOOM being discontinued?

Is the DOOM being discontinued?  Maybe that's why the TOXIC is a reactive pearl.

I would guess, No ! It's not the same core or cover, modified both, so IMO, your Doom is safe. Just my opinion, and I have been wrong, but that is a great selling ball, I don't see why anyone would discontinue it yet.

Roger, sometimes company's do some dumb things.

I was told that the TOXIC was going to have an oil absorbing cover on it.  Yet I was surprised to see that it has the enhanced max flip cover like the DOOM but with some kind of pearl additive.  This ball also has a lower RG but more Diff.

I'm real curious how it's going to roll.  I seen a pic of this ball and wonder what it will look like in person.  I know from the pick that it looked like a light green color.  It may not be the best choice of colors but if it performs that's all that matters.

It's booger green lol. I got to see one today. I actually liked the color, but I wont be getting one because Im going back with Storm. On another note, think of an AMF spare ball or slimer from Ghostbusters.

I understand about dumb ideas, and for some reason they may think it's time to put the Doom to rest, but I doubt it. I'd think they just want to "play" with the core/cover to see if they can make a good ball better, not that it can always be done, but I'd bet the Doom will be here for a while.

IMO, Ebonite tried the same thing with the V2 Sanded/Power...didn't work, but maybe those guys learned something from it and won't kill the Doom for a while. Besides, they have you telling the world how great the Doom is...lol...they know a good thing when they see it !

As far as the Toxic, haven't seen one in person, but IMO, that's an ugly ball, but I'm not a green person.

I'd really like to know how much difference in ball reaction there will be between the Doom and the Toxic? I thought the Toxic would be a complementary ball, but it appears to be "only" a slightly sharper version of the Doom?
