Juiced Reactive

How strong is the Juiced Reactive coverstock on the Raw Hammer Pain? Is it anything like the GB coverstocks on the the One line bowling balls? How about maintenance?

The Raw Hammer Pain is pretty dam strong.  It comes 2000 grit abralon OOB.  I dulled one of my PAINS to 500 grit abralon and it was a beast and needed a good amount of oil.

I don't know how it compares to the ONE series but it's a very good bowling ball.  Right now I have 2 PAINS and it's my favorite bowling ball.

The PAIN does take a on a shine but the maintenance is normal.  Very durable coverstock.

One of the best bowling balls for tough lane conditions.

I read the ball description for the Road Hawg which has the same coverstock and it was talking about rate of oil absorption which reminds me a lot of the GB coverstocks.

I would not say it acts like the One, at least as far as I can tell.  I have a Pain, and it's one of my favorite balls.  It is strong, but very smooth and easy to read and control.  I would classify the One as being a lot more in the backend, while the Pain has a great midlane read and a good backend move.

Mr. Lebowski, this is Bill Salnicker with the Southern Cal Bowling League, and I just got a, an informal report, that a member of your team, uh, Walter Sobchak, drew a firearm during league play. If this is true of course, it contravenes a number of the league's by-laws, and article 27 of the league...

What I mean is do I have to maintain the coverstock like I would a One ball?

Everything being made right now needs to be cleaned and have oil removed often to offer the best performance.  I think the Pain is a great ball and could stand a little less maintainance than the BIG ONE, but honestly the One is not that bad to maintain.  Its really no big deal to take care of a cover.  Use a microfiber towel to wipe the ball off before each shot and spay it down with a cleaner when you get done.  Then after about 50 games throw it in a bucket of hot water/ rejuvinator.

I've probably got about 120+ games on my Pain, and I've never done more than wipe it down after most shots and clean it with energizer cleaner once every couple of months.
