I have or had all three, layouts were really close to each other, still have Pain and Toxic but changes layouts on the Pain.

I'd rate them in order of strength/usage:

Pain
Toxic
Doom

Love the Pain, will never get rid of the Toxic but the Doom, just didn't care for the reaction. Might have been to close to the Toxic but IMO, the Toxic laid out similar, is much more aggressive than the Doom.

If all are drilled the same with the same cover preps. Then based on some peoples comments they should all react the same. But IMO, the Toxic will go the longest and be very angular in the back. The Doom will be similar but not as long. Possibly slightly more angular. The Pain will read the lane much sooner than both and also be the smoothest off the point.

The Anger will be similar in shape to the Pain but much stronger in both midlane and backend

Did he ask to compare the Anger to the Doom and Toxic?  Or the Pain?

I'm interested in getting more feedback between the Toxic and the Doom.  I'm thinking about getting the Doom.  I want a slightly earlier read than the Toxic and something that can serve as a benchmark ball with a strong but controlled backend.

As far as what I can add to the original topic:

I have the Toxic and Anger.  The Toxic is definitely longer and more angular.  The Anger is a whole different ball that reads and reacts differently.  The Anger reads earlier and gets into an early roll and makes a strong arc to the pocket.  With the same layouts throwing at the same target in OOB finish-i have to stand about 2-3 boards left when using the Anger.

If you want the Doom to be a benchmark ball, I would take the polish off and leave it at 4000 Abralon. When polished, it skids a bit too much to get an accurate read of the oil line. When taking the polish off the Doom or the Toxic, you will see them read the lane much better.

Why would they react the same? Each ball has a different coverstock.
