longer than a widow
« on: December 01, 2006, 10:25:08 PM »
i have a black widow and i love it, i was thinking o getting something that would it nice between my black widow and my blue vibe, i want somthing thats not good lenth, i bowl around 16mph and put a lot o revs on the ball ( once told by tim mack team usa  put to many revs on the ball!!)
ive been told the hawg zilla would be a good ball but i think this is stronger hooking than the widow? im also thinking of a no mercy as well

ive got my widow drilled with the mulit purpose layout.

Depending on the drillings of your current BW and Blue Vibe you might be able to get away with a Doom...but I would also consider drilling another BW with a long Pin to PAP distance (say 6") and the MB @ ~60 degrees...might even think of polishing it.

Just a thought...

ive got my widow drill with the all purpose drilling
what drilling do u think would make it go longer if i got a 2nd widow
il also thinking about changing my grip to a sarge easter to get more forward rotation to get the ball longer

Forward rotation will not make the ball go longer.. It will actually do the total opposite, because the forward roll will make the ball earlier and more stable..
I've had the Sarge Easter-grip for about a year now.. And i didn't change the layouts on any of my balls.. Just drilled them the same place they were when i threw "full" fingertip grip.. And ALL my balls started to roll 3-4 ft earlier than before, "just" because of the change of rotation..
The plus-side of this has been, that i've gotten more control over my balls.. Not all that over/under as much as i used to.. Am now able to control my breakpoint a lot better too..

IMO skid/snap is for kids and recreational bowlers..
