Looking for a ball?
« on: August 25, 2009, 03:49:08 AM »
Hello Hammerheads I have a question? Lately ive been on fire with my Lane 1 Pearl Cherry Bomb. I was real fortunately to get this ball for $25 bucks and its one of my favorite balls of all time. I'm telling you its a automatic 700 series machine. Its the only pearl ball that I have. Im looking for a Hammer ball that is closest to the PCB. The ball is drilled stack with pin & cg together next to my ring finger. Its pretty early but very smooth in the back. Its mainly my down and in ball and since i love Hammer balls, I need a suggestion on what ball can come close to the PCB.  Now ive tried looking for another one but its hard to find one and when I do find a PCB for sell, they want value for a new ball. Any input is appreciated. Thank you

Cherry Vibe. Put the same stacked drilling on it and the reaction will be close with the smoother backend. The new Burn will be more angular on the back than your PCB. The Psycho will give you an earlier read with a strong backend.

Gazoo,

I did throw somebody elses Burn and it was drilled stacked but left handed and man that ball was very angular at the backend. Can a emerald vibe work or will it just be too jumpy or will it go too long? I think their is one Cherry Vibe left in the shop.

Emerald will be jumpy, it's all about the skid/snap.

Due to the very rolly nature of the Cheery Bomb, almost all Hammers are going to be jumpy or angular in comparison. You will have to use a pin down drilling to smooth things out possibly closer to pap as well.

The Cherry Bomb had one of the highest Diff cores ever produced. It is illegal by todays rules..

Keep that in mind guys when suggesting a Vibe..
