It's been awhile since I had a Hammer (my last being the Pain and Doom...LOVED them) and I'm honestly out of the loop since I let my BTM sub run out a year ago. Right now I throw the Cell and Kinetic, and I think it's time for something new.
I've noticed the BWP still works for a lot of people, so I'm considering giving that a shot. Or maybe I could find a Doom still (did that get disco'd?) and have another go at that ball now that my game has improved quite a bit.
Any other recommendations to "wow" me with hammer? I honestly don't even care if it would overlap or replace the Cell or Kinetic, as even if it does I'll get plenty of play out of it.

If the Pain worked for you, you'll love the Acid.

I guess I'll have to take a look at the Acid. Though the Pain did work for me, I was a different bowler then.
I guess I'd like something that will retain energy downlane without being afraid to turn the corner.

The name is Hot Sauce PEARL... do you still think it's a solid?
-
i should have phrased it better i was saying its a solid ball, as in very good i know its not a solid because i know it is a pearl...sorry for the confusion

splendorex,
I just drilled up an Emerald Vibe, yesterday.
Shot 720 today.
The ball is drilled stacked leverage, and shocked the he77 out of me.
I used it on medium Pro Anvilane lanes...Ball had super continuation through the pins.
I love it as much as my Raw Doom, which was one of my favorites.

The best pieces out from Hammer, right now in my opinion are as follows..
Raw Hammers:
- Pyscho
- Acid
Emerald Vibe
Hot Sauce
(no particular order)
I've seen high, HIGH success with selling and scoring with each of these. Personally, i've owned a Sauce, Pyscho, Emerald, and thrown a Hot Sauce. My Pyscho was the most consistant of them all. The Emerald was the flippiest in the back, and the Hot Sauce was still just as flippy, but a little more smoother.
Hope this helps!

If you are looking for a length ball with backends, you really can't go wrong with the following: Hot Sauce Pearl, Acid (best ball for the $$$), Emerald Vibe, Black Widow Venom or Pearl.
With the recent equipment has been making, I am excited to see what is coming out in June/July & cannot wait to get my hands on what I hope will be 2 great equipment if the rumors that are on these message boards.
If you are looking for a heavier rolling ball for the oiler patterns, you can't go wrong with The Sauce, Acid, or a Hot Sauce Pearl with some surface on it.
Good Luck & let me know if you have any further questions.

Hmm...the Emerald Vibe does sound interesting. I'll have to look at that one too.

The Emerald Vibe is imo the most underated low end ball. It has great length and continuation.

Then you'll want the Black Widow Venom. My favorite of the BW series.
