Looks like theres a Black Widow Pearl in my future
« on: October 23, 2007, 11:07:02 AM »
My very immediate future. I went in the shop today to drill up my Mo Archon, and decided to try one of the Demo day balls that have been there for a few weeks. Grabbed a Widow Pearl(pin over bridge, strong MB) threw some grips in it and a switch grip(which didn't fit worth a crap) and proceeded to shoot games 250, 256, 258, 257 and 279 for 5 straight games averaging 260 with it. Ball gave me more area and MUCH better carry then anything else I had with me. Got through the drying mids easily, revved up and made a strong controllable move downlane.

Very impressed, can't wait to throw one that actually fits my hands.

The ball is really popular around here, and seems really squrity on the fresh. The ball looks great once the track drys up, or on the second shift shot like I was on today. I would definitely go with a pin down layout and probably even some surface if I planned on using one on fresh conditions.

My proshop has noticed that the bowlers that come around the ball like this ball a lot more than the people that come up the back of it...

Funny thing, whenever I went to demo days, I could strike all day long with those bad fitting balls.  Then when I'd get the ball for myself and get a money fit in my hand it didn't react the same
