They don't always catch them, but this ball should have been considered a "blem".
From the looks of it, the one with the small locator pin ( lower marking ) is probably the correct one, but there is NO WAY to know for sure until it is spun on a determinator.
If the lower one is the correct MB, and you could come up with some type of drilling that allowed you to put the thumbhole or weighthole where the mis-mark is, you would never know the difference. Should be pretty simple for a righty wanting a label drill to drill out the top one, or maybe even a modified "RICO" drill for the weighthole to be put there, IF the lower one is correct.
