Power Diesel
« on: February 21, 2007, 11:03:00 PM »
I got a hammer power diesel from a buddy in my bowling league and it's been up and down with me and this ball. I got a 209 the first game i used it in my bowling league and the highest i got since then is a 190. Do you think it's me or it's better to get another ball that's made for me? I can't find a way to throw a hook on this ball and i would like to know.

monty, i had a power diesel a while back. it was very over/under for me so i got rid of it. as far as i am concerned, the power diesel couldnt hold the diesel solid particle or diesel particle pearls jockstrap..........

I disagree with Ten Pin....I loved this ball, when I was able to find the proper cover prep.

For me, about 2000-4000 matte and this ball was SUPER smooth, but the Diesel core is a BEAST, so it was a beautiful.  I still throw this ball in fact.

I know everyone has their opinions, I just suggest trying to tweak the cover on this particular ball before you bail out on it just yet.

Good Luck!

i agree with HH,..........its all about matchup with alot of variables. i just didnt ever find that happy spot with the PD and since i was able to with the other diesels, i sold it to a buddy that is very happy with it.

if the cover and layout is done correctly...ball revs up real easy and has a strong yet controllable backend, exactly what most bowlers look for. Shot 299 and 803 with it earlier this year.

hey belch, what do you mean when said,  "I have mine layed out with the pin under and in the middle of my fingers, with the CG kicked out just enough to not have to have an X hole"? is this the way you throw your power diesel?

The core in the Diesel line is very similar throughout.  Personally, I love the roll the diesel line gives me.  I still have a Big Rig too.
